What is the Day of Champions?

There really is no other event like Day of Champions in any other sport. For fans of motorcycle racing it is one of the highlights of the calendar. And best of all, all the money raised goes to help Riders for Health save lives in Africa.
On the Thursday before the British GP at Silverstone the stars of MotoGP come together to help support the official charity of MotoGP. Day of Champions is the only place where you can see all the stars of MotoGP when they appear on stage in the famous Day of Champions auction.
There is also lots going on during the day in the Entertainment Zone, with live music, quizes, displays from the X-treme trials teams and much more. Why not click here to see a timetable of the day?
For paddock and pit-lane ticket holders MotoGP opens its doors so that fans of the sport can see behind the scenes. Lucky ticket holders can walk around the paddock where they may even get to see some of the stars of the series. Fans can access the pit lane, where some of the teams will open up their pit garages so fans get a close up view of the bikes that will be tearing round the circuit at the weekend.
For those who fancy bringing their bike along for the day, why not join the ride-in? Leaving from the Heritage Motor Centre Motor Museum in Gaydon, you and your fellow bikers will ride in convoy before completing two laps of the famous circuit.
The climax of the day is the world famous Day of Champions auction. All of the stars of MotoGP are there, and you can have a great chance to bid for some truly amazing bits of MotoGP memorabilia.
