There are lots of different ways to raise money to support Riders for Health’s teams in Africa. These four schemes allow you to support our life-saving work without spending a penny.

  Give as you Live

  Support Riders every time you shop online, at no extra cost to you.

  Give as you Live is an award-winning initiative which aims to raise money for charities through everyday online shopping. Thousands of retailers including Amazon, Tesco, O2, thetrainline and Expedia have signed up to donate a percentage of online purchases to your chosen charity. Click here to sign up today.

  Giveacar

  Giveacar raises money from the sale or disposal of your unwanted cars and donates the money to charitable causes. They provide a free service available throughout the UK and it couldn’t be simpler:

  • Contact Giveacar on 020 00111664 or by clicking here to arrange free collection of your car and quote Riders for Health as your chosen charity
  • The vehicle is then disposed of in an environmentally-friendly way either through recycling scrap or auction
  • Giveacar will donate the proceeds to Riders! 

  Not only will Giveacar dispose of your unwanted vehicle for free but the money raised could pay for several months’ worth of fuel for a health workers motorcycle, enabling them to reach their communities regularly and reliably.

  Recycle for Life

  Donate used or unwanted motorcycle clothing to Riders and raise money to help keep health workers safe on the roads in Africa. We often get offers from people wanting to donate their used clothing directly to our programmes in Africa. Clothing from the UK is not suitable for the conditions in Africa and so, regrettably, we have to turn down these kind offers. However, the money that is raised from your donation will make a huge difference to our life-saving programmes.

  If you would like to donate or buy used motorcycle clothing then visit Riders for Health's Recycle for Life stand which will be appearing at events around the country.   We are looking for all types of motorcycle gear, but it does need to be in good condition. Please note that for safety reasons we are not able to accept helmets.

  Recycling for Good Causes

  Donate unwanted jewellery, currency and mobile phones and turn your old watch or useless francs into much-needed spanners and spark plugs for our teams in Africa. Recycling is a very easy way for you to raise money and be socially responsible by protecting the environment.

  Your unwanted items will be recycled and Riders will receive the proceeds as a donation, helping us to get more health workers on the road in Africa.
