Impact Manager

We are seeking to appoint an Impact Manager who will be responsible for supporting and improving the mechanisms Riders already has in place for demonstrating the impact and efficiency of our various fleet models and in embedding effective impact analysis protocols and practices across the whole organisation. 

Excellence in monitoring, evaluation and learning is critical to the further success of Riders for Health and we feel this is an ideal time to review the systems and practices in place that measure Riders’ impact. This opening therefore brings an exciting opportunity for a passionate and accomplished monitoring and evaluation professional to support in the growth of the charity by influencing how impact analysis is undertaken across the organisation, as well leading the change management process. 

Interested candidates must have at least 3 years’ demonstrable hands-on experience in participatory monitoring and evaluation (both quantitative and qualitative) in the international humanitarian and/or development field. You must be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal and influencing skills, collaborative working and strong analytical skills.

Significant travel to Riders programmes and demonstrating a hands-on approach in monitoring missions, data analysis and evaluation and translation is a key part of the role.

The chosen candidate will be a team player with the ability to participate in both academic and practical discussions.

Fundraising Manager

Riders for Health (Riders) is dedicated to the fight against preventable disease in Africa. Our pioneering work ensures that African health workers can reach their widespread communities using motorcycles and other vehicles, maintained in such a way that they never break down. The management of transport is the most neglected and yet one of the most vital aspects of development.

Riders has grown and diversified fundraising income in the past three years by engaging with new donors, developing new fundraising initiatives and increasing income from longstanding income streams. The organisation is currently undergoing a strategic restructure to realign its core business to best deliver on our goals and objectives across Africa. 

Excellence in fundraising is critical to the further success of Riders for Health and this opening brings an exciting opportunity for a passionate and accomplished Fundraising Manager to support in the growth of the charity.

The core responsibilities of the role include managing and leading income from global trusts and foundations, key partners and individuals (including major donors). It is a diverse and exciting role that requires the successful candidate to have substantial experience in these areas, with a proven track record in working towards and exceeding income generation targets. You will have experience in account and project management, as well as writing high quality fundraising applications, donor reports and undertaking pitches for support.

Programme Administrator

We are seeking to appoint a Programme Administrator who will be responsible for following systems and processes to check progress against project or country programme targets. This is an important role in fostering a culture of reporting and sharing of useful data and to ensure Riders meets its operational objectives. 

Interested candidates must be able to demonstrate experience of planning and monitoring projects and managing allocated budgets to ensure effective use of resources. You’ll need to be highly-organised, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and good numeracy and written ability. To succeed in this role you must be capable of working in a collaborative way and show a willingness to carry out a range of varied tasks.

Trusts & Foundations Fundraising Officer

We are seeking to appoint a Trusts & Foundations Fundraising Officer who will be responsible for maximising our income from grant-givers and institutional funders, as well as supporting the effective management of our restricted funding projects. We are looking for someone who will bring excellent writing and research skills and the ability to persuade and influence others. You’ll need to be conscientious and well-organised, with great attention to detail. 

If you have experience of grant fundraising and are able to communicate your passion for our work to others and nurture long-term relationships with a range of funders, we would love to hear from you. There is potential for growth in the role and the opportunity to make a real impact.

Communications and Fundraising Intern

Riders for Health are looking for a graduate who is an enthusiastic and committed team member looking to gain valuable experience working for an award-winning social enterprise. The role is a 6-month fixed term contract, full time based in Northampton.

The Communications and Fundraising Intern post is a varied role that requires excellent planning and coordinating ability and the capability to multi-task effectively in order to assist the work of the communications and fundraising team. You will have a good level of written English and be able to adapt your style for a wide range of audiences. You’ll need to be proactive and confident working on your own tasks, as well as engaging with the wider team. Excellent working knowledge of digital and social media is a must have skill.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience within the not-for-profit sector. The chosen candidate must demonstrate an enthusiastic approach and be able to communicate their passion for our work to others.
