Fundraising and communications intern
£13,000 per annum
Riders for Health are looking for an enthusiastic and committed team member who would like to gain valuable experience working for an award-winning social enterprise. The role is a 6-month contract, full time (37.5 hours), based in Northampton.
Riders for Health is dedicated to the fight against preventable disease in Africa. Our pioneering work ensures that African health workers can reach their widespread communities using motorcycles and other vehicles, maintained in such a way that they never break down.
Assisting the work of the fundraising and communications team, this is a varied role that requires excellent planning and coordinating ability and the capability to multi-task effectively. The successful candidate must demonstrate an enthusiastic approach and be able to communicate their passion for our work to others.
You will have a good level of written English and be able to adapt your style for a wide range of audiences. You’ll need to be proactive and confident working on your own tasks, as you are in engaging with the wider team. Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential, as well as a concern and commitment to quality.
This is a wonderful opportunity for someone looking to gain experience within the not-for-profit sector. The role will be varied and you will have a key part to play within the fundraising and communications department.
