Find out what our volunteers have been up to over the last few months:

Volunteer get-together

On 10th May Riders will be holding a volunteer get-together at Farthingstone Golf Club.

The get-together is a great opportunity to meet up with other volunteers and to meet Riders’ staff. We will be giving updates on our fundraising activities over the last 12 months and there will be presentation on all our field programmes.

The most important part of the day is your input. We will are looking forward to hearing your feedback on your experiences as a Riders volunteer, or any ideas that you may have about how we could improve things for you.

The get-together will be held at Farthingstone Golf Club in Northamptonshire, from 11am – 4pm on the 10th May. The meeting is open to all registered Riders volunteers, if you would like to attend, please email Milly at mwastie@riders.org for more information.

Riders would like to thank long standing supporter Nick Fountain for the donation of 300 energy saving light bulbs. Nick works for Sainsbury’s and after a recent campaign the supermarket had lots of light bulbs left over. Nick kindly arranged for them to be donated to Riders and we are now able to sell them on our fundraising stalls around the country. What a bright spark!

latest_news1.jpgRiders volunteers Paul and Fiona White have been out and about again on another fundraising mission. This time they were selling raffle tickets at the Japanese Vintage Motorcycle show at Donington Park over the weekend of 2nd – 3rd February. Riders were kindly invited to attend the show by Carlos Gomez, a fellow Riders volunteer and member of the Suzuki owners club. Thank you once again to Paul and Fiona for giving up their time to raise vital funds for Riders.

Ian_helmet_bus.jpgA big thank you to all our dedicated volunteers for their help at the London Motorcycle show. Whilst braving the cold weather our volunteers helped man the helmet bus and sold raffle tickets. The volunteers also helped with our new fundraising scheme, Recycle for Life. In total Riders raised £6076.66, which is fabulous, and will be used to support our life-saving work across Africa.

Thank you to all of our volunteers for everything you do, we couldn’t do it without you!!!
