FIM donate 30,000 Swiss Francs to Riders

The Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) have donated £13,800 to Riders for Health’s work.

The Switzerland based governing body of motorcycling has been a great supporter of Riders’ work over the years, and we are very grateful for their continued support. This donation could help provide 36,800 families with a year of health care visits.

Riders is already reaching over 10.8 million and in January 2008 we launched our new country programme in Lesotho. We are also working hard to increase the capacity of our existing programmes in Zimbabwe, Kenya, Nigeria and Kenya.

Riders’ joint-founder and CEO, Andrea Coleman, said: ‘We would like to thank the FIM for this generous donation. We couldn’t do what we do without the support of the motorcycling community. Riders’ partnership with the worldwide community of motorcycling has helped to show what an important role motorcycles have in providing health care and development in Africa.’
