Therese Drammeh
Therese first became involved with Riders for Health in 2000 when she was Permanent Secretary at the Department of State for Health and Social Welfare. Riders had the contract to manage the vehicles for the World Bank's Participatory Health, Population and Nutrition Programme.
She joined Riders itself in 2001 after retiring from the civil service, becoming Riders’ Gambia programme director.
As programme director, Therese has guided the development of a nationwide Riders for Health programme in the Gambia, which included setting up a sustainable and proper system for managing the Department of State for Health and Social Welfare's vehicles and generators, establishing a management team to run the programme in the Gambia and increasing Riders' partners and customers.
