Riders for Health’s mission is to
ensure that men, women and children
no longer die of easily treatable diseases
due to isolation and poverty.
Just £10 could buy enough fuel to keep a health worker on the road and reaching their communities for a fortnight. With a reliable motorcycle, maintained within the Riders’ system, a health worker can cover almost 300km in a fortnight, and provide health care to thousands of men, women and children.
Please note that the last day for delivery in time for Christmas in the UK is Monday 21st December. The Riders for Health office will be closed from 24th December and will open again on Monday 28th December.
'From the time I received the motorbike I have managed to cover the entire Province, supervising our malaria control programme. I have also been able to assist many people during the floods and helped to control an outbreak of cholera. Really motorbikes are saving lives,' reported Michael Marime, a health worker from Zimbabwe.
When you give a Riders Christmas Gift, we will send you a card illustrating your purchase and explaining how it is helping to save lives. You will also receive a Riders Christmas card that you can personalise and send to the intended recipient.
For more information, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 01604 889 570 or at rfh@riders.org.
All Christmas gift cards must be sent to the card holder’s address. Remember to allow enough time for postal delivery.
*This figure is based on an average of fuel costs across the different countries in which Riders work. Your donation will be used for fuel for vehicles used for health care delivery in one of our African programmes, subject to needs.
