Riders for Health’s mission is to
ensure that men, women and children
no longer die of easily treatable diseases
due to isolation and poverty.
Just £20 could buy a tool kit for a health worker.
Riders provide every health worker we train in motorcycle riding with a tool kit so that they can carry out basic maintenance on their bike before every trip. This ensures that the motorcycle will never break down between services and that the health worker will always be able to reach the rural communities that rely on them for health care.
Please note that the last day for delivery in time for Christmas in the UK is Monday 21st December. The Riders for Health office will be closed from 24th December and will open again on Monday 28th December.
A well-maintained motorcycle will allow each health worker to reach up to five times more men, women and children with regular health care. ‘Having a well-maintained motorcycle has made my life so much easier. I’m a widow with four children so I sometimes get delayed. Now I can visit my patients without fail,’ says Beatrice, a health worker from Kenya who cares for people living with HIV/AIDS across several communities.
When you give a Riders Christmas Gift, we will send you a card illustrating your purchase and explaining how it is helping to save lives. You will also receive a Riders Christmas card that you can personalise and send to the intended recipient.
For more information, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 01604 889 570 or at rfh@riders.org.
All Christmas gift cards must be sent to the card holder’s address. Remember to allow enough time for postal delivery.
*Your donation will be used to purchase and deliver either a basic tool kit or any other tool or equipment required to maintain vehicles used by health workers for health care delivery to communities in rural Africa in one of Riders’ programme.
