La Ducati Day's Silent Auction for Riders

12 October 2008

Thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts gathered on a sunny day in the hills an hour South of Los Angeles for the 5th annual La Ducati Day.  Attendees were able to participate in a Ducati Garage Challenge, Slow Ride Competition, a Leo Vince USA sponsored Music Challenge, and a Sportbike Suspension Setup Clinic.

The day also included a charity auction sponsored by Federico Minoli in support of Riders for Health.  The silent auction raised $3,000 for our programs in Africa.  Auction items were generously donated by Ducati and Dainese San Francisco.  We appreciate their help and are also grateful to John Clelland of the Northern California Desmo Owners Club for invitingus to be part of La Ducati Day 2008. We want to extend a special thank you to Howell Tumlin, Co-Chair of the Riders for Health LA Chapter, for organizing the booth and silent auction.  If you live in the area and would like to know more about our LA Chapter, please email us at usa@riders.org.
