Riders for Health has fundraising events all over the world to help raise money for our work in Africa. Whether you’re interested in a motorcycle tour of the Carmel Valley in California, a fun family day out before the British MotoGP at Silverstone or a life changing off-road journey through Zambia. You can be part of the movement that shows that motorcycles save lives.
Day of Champions is Riders for Health’s largest fundraising event, held every year on the Thursday before the British MotoGP at Silverstone.
The next Day of Champions will take place on August 29, 2013. For motorcycling fans it is one of the highlights of the racing calendar. And best of all, all the money raised goes directly to supporting our African programmes. Enjoy live music, quizzes, stunt displays and much more. Lucky ticket holders can even explore behind the scenes of MotoGP in the exclusive paddock. The day concludes with an amazing live auction featuring all of the stars of MotoGP.
Since 2006 Day of Stars has taken place at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in California before the Red Bull US Grand Prix.
It is hosted by Riders for Health co-founder and motorcycling legend Randy Mamola. Fans from across the USA have the opportunity to take part in a motorcycle tour of the beautiful Carmel Valley, meet MotoGP stars such as Nicky Hayden and Ben Spies and also bid for signed memorabilia in a live auction.
The next Day of Stars will be held on July 18, 2013.
Spend nine days traveling through Zambia as part of a small group of fewer than 30 riders on the same motorcycles that provide a vital lifeline to rural communities. This is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure led by grand prix legend and Riders for Health co-founder Randy Mamola where you will witness how motorcycles are being used to save lives in rural Africa.
You can watch a short video of Experience Africa here.
The trip costs £3,800 of which £2,000 is a donation to our work.
